LAHORE: CNG filling stations of Lahore, Gujranwala and Sahiwal regions were closed on Monday to observe a three-day weekly holiday.
Comparatively thin traffic was witnessed in the province metropolis due to the weekly closer. Public transport was also thin on roads, which resulted in more problems for commuters.
However, in the absence of normal public transport, LPG-fuelled tri-wheelers were seen busy on city roads. Due to poor arrangements of the provincial government, a large number of vans and buses stayed off the road which created problems for the commuters.
Inter-city routes were also affected due to the CNG stations closure. Commuters had to pay extra fares to reach their destinations.
