KARACHI: Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has clarified that the Consul General of Indonesia Rossalis Rusman Adenan had informed KCCI president that the officials of Commerce Ministry of Indonesia were likely to visit Islamabad in July 2012 to discuss about the enforcement and implementation of Pakistan-Indonesia Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA).
In a clarification here Thursday, KCCI said that in its press release issued on June 25, 2012, it was inadvertently mentioned that PTA between Pakistan and Indonesia would be enforced from July, 2012.
In that meeting, Indonesian Consul General also discussed Pakistan-Indonesia bilateral trade and organizing of Indonesian Pavilion in KCCI's My-Karachi Exhibition 2012.
The PTA was signed on February 4, 2012 in Jakarta.
