  • Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Zulfiqar Bukhari said that deportation from UAE will continue till the 28th of this month.

Pakistan has begun repatriation flights for its citizens stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from today (Monday) onwards.

In a tweet, Special Assistant to Prime Minister, Zulfiqar Bukhari said that deportation from UAE will continue till the 28th of this month. “In line with PM Imran Khan instructions to bring our people back, 6500+Pakistanis will be repatriated between 20-28th April from different parts of the world.”

“These are unusual circumstances, I urge passengers to become familiar with travel SOPs before getting on board to avoid any inconvenience,” he added while sharing a list of the flight schedule.

As per details, more than a thousand Pakistanis will arrive from UAE today, four flights have been scheduled to repatriate passengers to Karachi and Lahore from Dubai airport.

All passengers entering the country will have to undergo a coronavirus test and will have to stay at a quarantine center.

Earlier, SAPM Bukhari said that a new flight schedule is under preparation under which Pakistanis stuck in different countries especially in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would be brought back into Pakistan.

“I know about the difficulties being faced in the UAE, however, I would still urge the Pakistani community who can stay in UAE to remain there as Pakistan does not have enough bandwidth to bring back all overseas Pakistanis in one go," said Bukhari in his video message.
