Hussain Lakhani Trust dispatches ration for needy photojournalists

KARACHI: Hunaid Lakhani, board member of the Hussain Lakhani Trust, visited the office of the Association of Camera Journalists and handed over ration packets to the office-bearer for the needy photojournalists.

Speaking on the occasion, he paid a rich tribute to photojournalists for performing their duties on front lines and in difficult situations. “Cameramen are the basic pillar of journalism,” he said.

Talking about the ration distribution, he said that the ration packets were handed over to the ACJ because the organisation has a very strong network and they are capable enough to identify their needy fellows and deliver the bags to their homes with secrecy.

ACJ President Mohammad Kashif and General Secretary Farhan Ilyas thanked Hunnaid Lakhani and said that the supportive gesture of the trust for deserving photojournalists would be appreciated and the ration will be delivered to the needy fellows with crystal clear transparency and without hurting the ego of deserving photojournalists.
