Tier-1 retailers' POSs: FBR extends time limit for online integration to March 31
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has condoned the time limit of up to March 31, 2020, for online integration of tier-1 retailers' points of sale (POSs) with the board's computerized system for real time reporting of sales.
In this regard, the FBR has issued instructions to all Chief Commissioners Inland Revenue, Large Taxpayers Units (LTUs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) here on Monday, on extension of date for the tier-1 retailers.
According to the FBR, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 74 of the Sales Tax act, 1990, the FBR has condoned the time limit as provided in sub-rule (2) of rule 150ZEA of Sales Tax Rules, 2006, up to 31st March, 2020, for online integration of tier-1 retailers' POSs with the board's computerized system for real time reporting of sales.
This is subject to the condition that such tier-1 retailers furnish in writing their willingness to integrate all their POSs in terms of aforesaid rules to the respective RTOs/LTUs by 15th March 2020.
