PML-N woman activists held rally in favour of SC decision

PESHAWAR: Welcoming the Supreme Court decision against Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, scores of women activists of PML-Nawaz staged a rally outside Peshawar Press Club on Friday.

The protest rally was spearheaded by central general secretary, PML-N women wing and MPA Shazia Aurangzeb along with dozens of women activists. The protesters demanded that Prime Minister should step down after the conviction and sentence in a contempt case of the court. 

Talking to reporters, MPA Shazia Aurangzeb said that Prime Minister has been disqualified by court to retain as leader of the parliament. She alleged that the PPP constantly disobeyed the decisions of superior judiciary, didn't implement it, saying that PPP has adopted confrontation policy by denial of the court orders.

She welcomed that Supreme Court decision against Prime Minister, saying that PPP government has no right to continue further with convicted leader. She said if the PML-N got next term, it will pull out the country of the prevailing messy situation.
