July-November updated collection shows Rs211.4bn shortfall

The updated collection of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) stood at Rs 1,617 billion during July-November (2019-20) against the target of Rs 1,828.4 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs 211.4 billion. According to a tweet of FBR Chairman Shabbar Zaidi here on Saturday, FBR has collected Rs 334 billion during the month of November 2019.

This is 17 percent more than last year's collection for the comparative five months. Upto last month the overall increase was 16 percent, FBR Chairman added. The FBR has provisionally collected Rs 334 billion during November 2019 against the monthly target of Rs 381.4 billion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs 47.4 billion. The FBR had collected around Rs 1,380 billion during July-November (2018-19) against provisional collection of Rs 1,617 billion during July-November (2019-20), reflecting an increase of Rs 230 billion.
