National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi has asked the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to provide property and tax details of Mazhar Ali Sahito, former deputy auditor general, Sindh and his family members.
According to details, the NAB, Karachi, which is conducting corruption inquiry against former deputy auditor general, Sindh, has extended its corruption probe, seeking property and tax details of accused Mazhar Ali Sahito and his family members. They had forwarded letters to Regional Tax Offices (RTOs), Karachi and Sukkur for the purpose.
In the letters sent to the RTOs, Karachi and Sukkur, the bureau has directed tax authorities to initiate scrutiny of records pertaining to the accused and his family members and provide details of the companies registered and the income tax returns filed by Mazhar Ali Sahito and his family members. The NAB, Karachi is seeking property and tax details of accused Mazhar, his spouse, his four kids and two relatives.
