Karachiites can now easily look up the costs of different everyday items before buying them just by a single tap on their phone screens, thanks to a new app that details the official prices of various commodities.

Commissioner of Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shallwani launched the app called ‘Karachi Price List’ where people can check out official costs of various routine items including meat, vegetables, fruit, poultry, grocery and baking items.

The app, which has been launched as an Android one and is available for downloading on Google Play Store, offers the feasibility to check official prices online before one actually buys the item. All the prices in the list are based per kilogram and per dozen, while they are also updated on a daily basis. Users can also change language settings as to their feasibility and chose from the option of English, Urdu, and Sindhi.

Moreover, Karachi Price List also incorporates an option of ‘Complaint’ where user can input the complaint details, name, email, contact number and date.

On the other hand, Pakistan Minister of Railways, Sheikh Rasheed, too has launched a train tracking mobile app named ‘Pak Rail Live’. The app, however, isn’t completely ready yet for public use. The app is essentially aimed to allow people to track trains in real time and check the estimate time of arrival/departure, or schedule for other trains.
