Pakistan Tax Advisers Association (PTAA) has approached Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Shabbar Zaidi for extension in date of filing of returns for Tax Year 2018 up to August 31, 2019 following encouraging response of taxpayers in filing of returns.
According to a communication of Javed Iqbal Qazi, Advocate High Court, and chairman PTAA to the FBR, it is requested to extend the date of filing of Returns for Tax Year 2018 till 31-08-2019 as due to the campaign lodged by the FBR and its offices, there is lot of awareness among the public to file returns for tax year 2018.
This act of tax authorities will enable number of persons to avail this opportunity to become filer for the first time. An early action in this regard will be highly appreciated, added Qazi.
