Northwest European gasoline refining margins rose to a two-week high of $8.86 on Monday, supported by a fire at a major US East Coast refinery. Philadelphia Energy Solutions hopes to begin restart of the 868 FCC unit at the Point Breeze section of the Philadelphia refinery complex by Wednesday after shutting down on June 10 due to a fire, according to two sources familiar with the plant's operations. The Girard Point section of the refinery remains shut due to a second fire on Friday that destroyed the HF alky unit.
