A division bench of the Lahore High Court on Thursday adjourned to April 01 the proceedings of bail petitions of former railways minister Khwaja Saad Rafiq and his Khwaja Salman Rafiq in Paragon City case for further arguments as their counsel sought time to filed rejoinder to the replies the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Earlier a prosecutor of the (NAB) filed replies to the petitions urging the bench to dismiss the same. The Khwaja brothers in their petitions contended that the NAB implicated them in the case without any justification as they had been extending their full cooperation to it during the investigation. They said the NAB arrested them purely on political grounds and also failed to present any cogent evidence against them during physical remand and asked the bench for post-arrest bail.
