Jamaican Danielle Williams won the women's 100m hurdles at the world championships on Friday. Williams clocked a personal best of 12.57 seconds, with Germany's Cindy Roleder taking silver in 12.59 and Alina Talay bronze in a Belarus national record of 12.66. The final had been deprived of two rated Americans who failed to make it out of the semi-finals. First Dawn Harper-Nelson, gold medallist in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and silver medal winner four years later in London, crashed heavily in her heat, before Kendra Harrison was disqualified for a false start in the next.
