Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri on Monday said the revolution march achieved more than his expectations, vowing he will continue his campaign till the message of 'revolution' reach every nook and corner of the country. Addressing his followers camped out at D-Chowk through video-link from Faisalabad, he said the message of revolution march would be spread across the country. "His party will take part in the general elections whenever held," he said.
He said that a large number of workers of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Faisalabad women wing president Rubina joined PAT. He said that PAT public gathering in Faisalabad was historical, wherein people of the city gave verdict in favour of the much-needed revolution.
Qadri said that the two-month long sit-in in Islamabad and successful public gathering in Faisalabad would have positive impact on PAT's scheduled public meeting in Lahore on October 19. The PAT chief said that the revolutionary caravan will march towards Hazara division of KPK and will hold public meeting in Abbottabad on October 23. Qadri said that he will leave for Jhang Tuesday (today) to meet flood-affected people and will distribute relief goods among them. He said that he would stay in Jhang for two days (14-15) and will reach Islamabad on October 16.
He said that 25 workers of Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) took part in the sit-in and demanded of the government to fulfill the demands of OGDCL workers and stop usurping their rights. He said that around 1000 workers of OGDCL chanted 'Go Nawaz Go' slogan during the protest demonstration.
