KARACHI: Sindh Excise Department has achieved its annual revenue target of Rs. 66831 million in FY 2019-20.

According to details, despite the covid-19 pandemic, the Sindh Excise department has collected Rs. 67.38 billion as against the revised target of Rs. 66.831 billion in FY 2019-20.

The department has collected Rs. 1.836 billion as property tax, Rs. 54.241 billion as infrastructure cess, Rs.535.291 million as professional tax, Rs.5.984 billion as motor vehicle tax, Rs.205.968 million as cotton fee and Rs.60.177 million as entertainment duty.

Meanwhile, Provincial Minister for Excise & Taxation and Narcotics & Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla lauded the performance of the officers and staff in achieving the tax collection targets and hoped that they would continue to work in the same spirit.
