imageActress Emma Watson will soon be seen as a 'Disney Princess' in an upcoming movie 'Beauty and the Beast', however she recently revealed that she refused the princess' role in Cinderella and couldn't be happier with her decision.

In an interview with Total Film, the former Harry Potter darling explains that although she could have starred in the live-action version of Cinderella, she's glad that she'll be bringing Belle to the big screen in the live-action 'Beauty and the Beast' remake.

"I didnt know they were going to make Beauty and the Beast at the time I turned down Cinderella," she said. "But when they offered me Belle, I just felt the character resonated with me so much more than Cinderella did".

"She remains curious, compassionate and open-minded. And thats the kind of woman I would want to embody as a role model, given the choice," she added.

E! News has recently confirmed that singer Cline Dion will perform a new song titled How Does a Moment Last Forever for the upcoming film. The movie also stars Luke Evans and Dan Stevens in the lead roles.

The movie will hit theatres on March 17, 2017.
