Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar has called a meeting of all stakeholders, on June 7 at Commerce Ministry Secretariat, Block A at 10 am, to discuss the controversial cotton hedge trading, sources told Business Recorder here on Saturday. They said that chairmen of Karachi Cotton Association, All Pakistan Textile Mills Association and Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association, Multan have been officially invited to attend the meeting. Sources said that the Commerce Ministry wants to start cotton hedge trading with consensus and participation of all stakeholders. Cotton Ginners Association said that it would file a petition in the Federal Shariat Court.
