World largest search engine Google is coming to Pakistani universities for the very first time, the techie announced that it would visit country’s top universities starting next week.
“This summer, for the very first time, Google steps foot in Pakistan to inspire and unearth the next wave of online publishers!” Google said a statement on its website. The first visit by Google to Pakistan universities will span across five major cities of Pakistan i.e. Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Gujrat and Topi, and will take place over a time period of nearly ten days starting August 30.
“We're visiting multiple universities and reaching out to talented students interested in designing, developing and monetizing content for websites and mobile apps,” it added.
The event which targets web/app developers, designers, and bloggers, will conduct training sessions on how to use Google products especially Adsense and AdMob, providing techniques for better monetization.
“We know that technology today is evolving at great speed, and it's tough staying updated. We will share resources to help you get started- best practices, tools & techniques for you to dive into the world of online publishing!” Google website stated.
The universities that would be visited by Google during the period are: Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi; NED University of Engineering & Technology Karachi; FAST-NU, Lahore and Islamabad; GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology, Topi; Lahore University of Management Sciences, Lahore; University of Gujrat, Gujrat; University of Central Punjab, Lahore; University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore.
