ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing of the review petition regarding misuse of development funds by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Faisal Arab heard the review petition filed by the Federation through the Secretary Finance over action against distribution of development funds by the former prime minister.
During the course of proceedings, the court remarked that responsibility was not fixed against anyone in the case.
Additional Attorney General Rana Waqar told the court that it was a suo moto notice case. On which the Chief Justice remarked that if it was a suo moto case then it was the government's duty to fix responsibility.
The court directed the Additional Attorney General to inform the court about details of responsible involved in the case and adjourned the case.
