RAWALPINDI: Four-day anti polio drive would start from Thursday (December 10,) in the district.
During the campaign, almost 7,50,000 children in the district below five-years of age would be administered anti-polio drops.
The health department has finalized all the arrangements, said Executive District Health Officer Dr. Arshad Ali Sabir while talking to APP on Sunday.
"We have taken special measures to further strengthen the coverage during the anti-polio drive."
He said senior staff of the district health department would be deputed to monitor activities during the campaign.
Special counters would be established at public parks, railway stations, bus stands, wagon stands, airport and other transit points to administer anti-polio? drops to the children.
Dr. Arshad said the district health department would try to make Rawalpindi polio-free.
He hoped that the campaign would be result-oriented and the set target would be achieved.
