ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday disposed of the case on an Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP's) assurance of revising Islamabad local bodies election schedule after delimitation.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Ijaz Azfal Khan heard the case during which ECP Director Muhammad Arshad appeared in court and told that the authorities would reissue the polls schedule on October 13 after completing delimitation. He further assured the court that LB polls in federal capital would be held on November 30.
Subsequently, the court dismissed the case on ECP's assurance.
