ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Monday ordered immediate action against officers and personnel of Capital Development Authority (CDA) for becoming facilitators in setting up of illegal slums in Islamabad.
Building of illegal slums in Islamabad is not possible without the connivance of CDA personnel.
The minister said immediate action should be taken against officials who allowed the land grabbers to grow as the illegal settlements were made.
The Interior Minister made it a condition that Islamabad police and administration would help the CDA in future operations against slum dwellings when action would be taken against black sheep in the department.
The minister instructed setting up of committee for end of corruption in CDA.
The minister issued these instructions in a briefing related to operation against illegal slums in recent days.
