An Indian activist has call to boycott films of those Bollywood celebrities who are supporting Salman Khan in a recent hit-n-run verdict.
According to Indian media reports, Indu Prakash Singh, convener of the National Forum for Housing Rights (NFHR), said Wednesday's verdict by a Mumbai court against Salman ‘needs to be celebrated, not condemned’. He said, “Bollywood support for Salman and comments like (those) of Abhijeet needs to be condemned. It seems Bollywood doesn’t live in India and is above the constitution. Is it so? If so, let’s all boycott Bollywood films, especially of those people who are condemning the jail sentence given to Salman Khan”.
On Wednesday, after the court verdict, B-town celebrities came out in support of Salman Khan. Singer Abhijeet and designer Farah Khan Ali condemned those sleeping on pavements.
Indu Prakash Singh also insists that why rich people are given privilege all the time. Justice should be equal for everybody.
Salman Khan had been sentenced to jail for 5 years on Wednesday, but Bombay High Court has suspended his jail term till the next hearing.
