KHANEWAL: Police claimed to have arrested two gansters of Jawada gang including ring leader and recovered looted items from their possession.
According to DPO Jahanzaib Nazeer, Jawada gang was active in snatching cattle, motorcycles, and mobile phones at gun point in Kacha Khooh, Talamba and Mian Channu by-pass areas.
A special police team was constituted which raided near overhead bridge Kacha Khooh by-pass and arrested the two criminals including ring leader identified as Muhammad Jawad alias Jawada and Abu-Sufyan.
The police have recovered a mini truck, cattle, five motorcycles and four mobile phones worth Rs 3.6 million and a klashnikov, two pistols and hundreds of bullets from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the accused.
The DPO Khanewal has announced commendatory certificates and cash prize for the police team.
