PARIS: Austrian Stefan Kraft won the World Cup ski jumping event on Thursday at Wisla, Poland after the competition was reduced to just one final jump due to poor conditions.
A leap of 129.5m earned Kraft a score of 136.7 points, enough to give the Four Hills champion a winning margin in front of Slovenian Peter Prevc (134.5) and Germany's Severin Freund (131.1).
Poland's double Olympic champion Kamil Stoch settled for 15th on 119.4 although Kraft stripped the World Cup overall lead from Austrian Michael Hayboeck who only managed fourth.
Kraft now leads the standings on 797 points with Hayboeck second on 754.
Earlier, the event was struck by the heavy fall of former world champion Anders Bardal of Norway who crashed heavily during qualifying and fractured his wrist.
