imageQUETTA: The lawyers fraternity of Balochistan observed strike, here on Thursday in protest against long marches and sit-ins of PTI and PAT in Islamabad, on the call of Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association.

Speaking to journalists, President Balochistan Bar Association, Bilal Anwar Kasi said that the country could not afford unconstitutional measures.

"The lawyers always opposed any unconstitutional step as they have historical record of their struggle for the supremacy of the constitution and rule of law.We strongly oppose the unconstitutional and illegal demands put by two political parties in Islamabad," he said.

He urged Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman, Alama Tahir-ul-Qadri to hold dialogue with the government and avoid putting unconstitutional demands which could damage democracy.

He said that the lawyers of Balochistan like that lawyers of other parts of the country would continue their support for democratic forces.
