ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Monday felicitated the Sultan of Oman on the occasion of country's National Day being celebrated today (Nov 18).
In his message of greetings to the Sultan of Oman, the Prime Minister said, "On behalf of people of Pakistan and on my own, I wish to extend to your majesty and brotherly people of the Sultanate of Oman, our sincere and warm felicitations on the auspicious occasion of 43rd National Day of the Sultanate of Oman".
During the last 42 years, he said, the Sultanate of Oman has achieved unprecedented prosperity, development and modernization under his sagacious and visionary leadership.
This has completely transformed Sultanate of Oman into a modern and highly developed country, the Prime Minister commented.
He said the people of the Sultanate of Oman were benefiting from the fruits of this development and this was a cause of great satisfaction and happiness in Pakistan as a close neighbour and brotherly country.
The Prime Minister said the existing brotherly and excellent bilateral relations between Pakistan and Sultanate of Oman were based on strong foundations of common faith and identity as well as shared values and aspirations.
He said both the countries had supported each other on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
He said under the wise and able leadership of Sultan, bilateral relations have gained strength and substance to the mutual advantage of the two nations.
The Prime Minister also expressed pleasure over the contribution made being by the Pakistani community residing in the Sultanate of Oman in the development of the Sultanate.
