Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are ready to offer a stunning £33million-a-year contract to Neymar, who is on the verge of Barcelona reunion.

The Brazilian has just two years left on his current contract having let his deal run down in a plot to leave the club.

The 28-year-old was desperate to leave to French side last summer for Barcelona.  A deal collapsed, despite the player going on strike, and the forward was forced to stay at the French champions for another year.

There is no secret that the Catalan club wants to have Neymar back particularly with his value plummeting.

With his deal running down and the financial crisis caused by coronavirus mean Neymar is now worth less than the world record £198m fee PSG paid for him in 2017.

However, to keep Neymar at the French capital, the club are offering him a new package which will extend his stay until 2025. This will also ensure that he won’t go out cheap.

He is currently earning £600,000-a-week but his new wage will see him earn around a £40,000 pay rise.

Boss Thomas Tuchel wants to keep Neymar at the club as he goes in search of Champions League glory.

The player himself appears cool about his future in the French capital after a representative claimed he won't sign an extension just yet.
