Over 300 national and multinational companies have shown interest in establishing industrial units in the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park (QABP). This was revealed at a meeting at the Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) office here on Friday. Secretary of the Punjab Industries Department Capt (retd) Zafar Iqbal presided over the meeting that was also attended by PIEDMC Chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi and officials from the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade.

PIEDMC Chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi gave a detailed briefing on the business plan for the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Sheikhupura, and apprised the meeting of arrangements made for the inaugural ceremony.

The chairman said the establishment of the Business Park would go a long way in realizing the concept of a state-of-the-art business park fetching foreign direct investment, paving way for not only industrial growth but also providing vast opportunities of employment in the province.

He said that an industrial group from China has also shown its keen interest in relocating its industry in the Business Park.

He also appreciated the support of the provincial Minister of Industries, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, for his backing and guidance towards fast track industrialization in Punjab.
