HAMBURG: The Ethiopian government has issued an international tender to buy about 75,000 tonnes of milling wheat, European traders said on Monday.
The tender deadline is Dec. 6. Finance for the purchase is being provided by the World Bank's International Development Association (IDA) and other aid organisations, they said.
The latest tender is in addition to three separate tenders for a total 680,000 tonnes of wheat from Ethiopia which close on Nov. 25 and Nov. 26.
Ethiopia is still struggling with the impact of drought which has devastated farms in some regions.
