(Karachi) United States has blacklisted 28 Chinese companies for alleged abuses of the Uyghur community in Xinjiang, China, BBC Urdu news reported on Tuesday.

Now these companies have been added to the list called 'Entity List' and they will no longer be able to buy products from US companies without the approval of the federal government.

The 28 companies include government agencies and technology companies specializing in the production of surveillance equipment.

This is not the first time that the United States has imposed trade sanctions on Chinese companies.

Earlier in May, the Trump administration also added Huawei, one of the world's largest telecom companies, to its security concerns about its product list.

Human rights organizations believe that Beijing is imprisoned mostly in Muslim Uyghurs in concentration camps. China, on the other hand, calls them 'skilled training centers' designed to deal with extremism.

The Department of Commerce said in its Monday Judgment that these 28 companies are part of a campaign to monitor China's repression, widespread illegal detention and advanced technology through advanced technology against Uyghur, Kazakh and other Muslim minority groups.

Xinjiang Province's Public Security Bureau is on the list, along with 19 other smaller government agencies.

In addition, Hawk Vision, Dahwa Technology and Majovi Technology are among the eight commercial groups that have been included in the list. All these companies specialize in face recognition technology. Hawk is one of the world's largest manufacturers of vision monitoring equipment.
