DG ISPR, boxer Amir Khan poke fun at Indian pilot Abhinandan

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asif Ghafoor and Pakistani-origin-British boxer Amir Khan have taken a subtle dig at Indian Air Force officer Abhinandan, who was captured by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on February 27.

Khan is in Pakistan to express solidarity with people of Indian occupied Kashmir, where India has imposed a curfew since August 5, depriving millions of people of their basic human rights. The boxer visited the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday to offer his support to Kashmiris and also met DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor.

In the video, Amir appeared to be mimicking the pilot as he drank tea and repeated Abinandan's words 'tea is fantastic'. DG ISPR, while taking a slight dig at Abhinandan, shared the video on his official Twitter handle with the same words as caption.

In February, PAF shot down two Indian fighter jets trespassing into Pakistan’s air space and captured Abhinandan alive. Later he was safely handed over to India. Abhinandan, during his short stay in Pakistan, praised hospitality by Pakistani Army in a video clip showing him enjoying a cup of tea.
