The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has invited applications for all the four coaches of the Senior Indian Men’s team on Tuesday.

The decision comes after India lost the ICC World Cup 2019 semifinals to New Zealand, as Kohli’s men failed to reach the 240 runs target, losing the game by 18 runs.

“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would like to call upon interested candidates to apply for the following positions for the senior India Men’s team: head coach, batting coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach, administrative manager,” stated the BCCI in a press release.

“The current coaching staff of Team India (Senior Men) will get an automatic entry in the recruitment process,” the board added.

The board’s announcement means that current head coach Ravi Shastri and the likes of batting coach Sanjay Bangar, bowling coach Bharat Arun and fielding coach R Sridhar will be automatically included in the selection process.
