BUDAPEST: Hungary's construction sector output jumped by 67.6 percent year-on-year in March following a 46.8-percent increase in February, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Tuesday.
The volume of new orders rose by 2.5 percent year-on-year after a 21.6 percent increase in February. However, the stock of orders of construction firms was 1.2 percent lower than in the same period a year ago.
The construction of buildings rose by 62.3 percent in March, while other types of construction expanded by 78.8 percent year-on-year, the KSH said.
