BUDAPEST: Hungary's construction sector output jumped by 48 percent in February in unadjusted annual terms after a 29.1 percent rise in January, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) said on Monday.
The volume of new orders rose by 22.1 percent year-on-year after a 16.9 percent rise in January. The stock of orders of construction businesses at the end of February was 2.6 percent above the level a year ago.
Building construction was up 39.4 percent in February, while other types of construction grew 65.4 percent year-on-year.
