Speedster Usman Shinwari snatched victory from the hands of Quetta Gladiators, after the Karachi Kings beat Gladiators by one run in the last delivery of the game, at the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Pakistan-leg on Sunday at Karachi’s National Stadium.

Shinwari last over turn out to be the turning point of the game after he claimed three wickets, leaving Quetta Gladiators batting line unable to chase down the 191 runs target, despite a magnificent 99 from Ahmed Shehzad.

The victory against Gladiators allowed Kings to become the fourth side to make into the play-offs, leaving Lahore Qalandars out of the contest.

Off spinner Umer Khan claimed the vital wicket of Shane Watson, after he was caught at deep on 20 runs by substitute fielder Ali Imran. The youngster picked his second wicket after Rilee Rossouw was stumped by Ben Dunk on 10.

Umer Khan was back in picture again, this time with his third wicket of Umar Akmal who got caught by Amir Yamin on 27. the off spinner ended up with figures of 3-27 in his four overs.

DJ Bravo perished at the penultimate over after he got run out on 9 by Colin Ingram.

Usman Shinwari last over was full of drama, after opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad was caught by Ingram just one run short of a ton on 99. Anwer Ali followed the very next ball and was dismissed on 2 after he got caught by Ben Dunk on 2. Shinwari was the third man after Shinwari bowled him on naught.

Earlier, Karachi Kings piled up 190 at the loss of five wickets in their 20-overs against Quetta Gladiators.

Top order batsman Babar Azam was the top scorer for Kings with a knock of 56 off 46 deliveries. Whereas, middle order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed too provided the Kings with the late impetus with a n unbeaten innings of 44 off 18 deliveries.

Leg spinner Fawad Khan finally got the breakthrough for Gladiators, after Colin Munro was caught by Sarfraz Ahmed on 30 in the 9th over. Livingstone was the second wicket to fall, after he was caught by Umar Akmal on 5 off Mohammad Nawaz delivery.

Speedster Mohammad Hasnain took the important wicket of danger man Colin Ingra, who got lbw on 24, in the 15th over. the youngster striked in the same over this time he hooked Babar Azam on 56, who was caught by Sarfraz Ahmed.

Ben Dunk got caught by Mohammad Nawaz on 18 of Sohail Tanvir delivery in the 19th over.

Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to field first against Karachi Kings at the fourth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Pakistan-leg on Sunday at Karachi’s National Stadium.
