ACE recovers over Rs13.4mn

SARGODHA: Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Wednesday recovered an amount Rs. 13.4 million in re-bidding of corporation shops. The authorities said that a number of influential persons had hired 34 shops over nominal rent in collusion with officers of Municipal Corporation and they further sublet the shops, furthermore, they did not deposit rent amount in the treasury.

After inquiry report, re-bidding was held and shops were re-allotted on new terms and conditions and an amount Rs. 13.4 million was deposited in national treasury.
