The PTI has already filed a disqualification reference against the PPP leader over concealing property. PTI MPA Khurram Sher Zaman filed the disqualification reference against the PPP leader in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday. Zaman filed the reference under Article 62 (1) (F), which disqualifies a person from holding public office for life.
On December 19, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced his party's decision to file a disqualification reference against Zardari. He said that the PPP co-chairman had concealed his apartment in New York, before the ECP and had thus violated Article 62/63 section, where he was bound to declare his assets.
