SUKKUR: Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islamuddin Shaikh has urged trade union representatives to cooperate in the removal of encroachments from their areas. The encroachments have not only defaced the city, towns and villages but also created serious traffic problems, he said while talking to a delegation of Sukkur Trade Union at his office, here on Tuesday.
He directed the Deputy Commissioner Sukkur to issue necessary instructions to cooperate with elected representatives in removing encroachments from roads, streets, nullahs and bus-stops.
The district administration on its own and with the help of anti-encroachment officials has been conducting operations against land grabbers and encroaches. This crackdown must continue to clear the city and villages, he added.
