SARGODHA: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) recovered 11 million rupees from contractors on using substandard material in development projects.

ACE authorities said Friday that complainants Muhammad Yaqboob resident of Jauhrabad and Omar Hayat resident of Mangowal submitted separate applications to the director ACE Asim Raza that Public Health Department Khushab had given contracts of several development schemes of Khushab city including sewerage, soling,PCC Slab and others to the contractors of different construction companies.

The companies including Malik Altaf of Devwal Co,Choudhary Contraction Co,Masers Warriach,Masers Hayat & co,Z.A Enterprises, Masers Parvez A Rehman,Friends, and Masres Mirza Rafiq used substandard material in development schemes and damaged the national treasury by million of rupees.

Director ACE assigned the inquiry of the cases to the assistant director (technical) Khushab Ghulam Muhammad. During inquiry, the said contraction companies proved guilty.

The official said that all companies collectively deposited over 11 million rupees in order to avoid further legal action.
