LONDON: European stock markets recovered at the open Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.6 percent to 6,760.08 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.8 percent to 10,711.40 points and the Paris CAC 40 climbed 0.8 percent to 4,781.94, compared with Monday's closing levels.
