Rangers arrest 18 including target killer, extortionist

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Sunday claimed to have apprehended 18 suspects, including an alleged target killer and an extortionist, during targeted raids in different parts of the mega city.

According to rangers’ spokesman, the paramilitary force carried out targeted raids in Docks area and apprehended an alleged target killer, Faruk Basheer and extortionist Muhammad Furqan linked to Lyari gang war.

During crackdown on outlaws in different parts of the city including Mubina town, Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan, Saeedabad, Gabol town and Ferozabad the paramilitary soldiers detained five street criminals and four drug peddlers.

Rangers also claimed to have recovered illegal weapons, drugs and contraband from their possession. They were handed over to police for further legal action.
