KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) issued notices on Friday to Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and senior veterinary doctor on a petition against illegal slaughter houses in city.
The SHC sought replies from the officials concerned by the 17th January.
Irfan Aziz counsel of Karachi Human Rights appeared before the court and told it that illegal slaughter houses are being run in the city but officials concerned have not taken any action against those involved running slaughter houses.
The counsel appealed the court to issue orders for action against illegal slaughter houses in the city.
The court adjourned the hearing till 17th January.
