Qureshi appreciates Telenor’s $3.5bn investment in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday appreciated Telenor’s $3.5 billion investment in Pakistan and its innovative approach in providing diverse services to its customer base.

The foreign minister was talking to President and CEO of Telenor Group Sigve Brekke , who called on him here along with a four-member delegation, a Foreign Office statement said.

The Telnor chief executive officer (CEO) briefed the foreign minister regarding Telenor Group’s investment in Pakistan and its popular products like Easy Paisa and Khushal Zamindar.

Deliberating on Telenor’s future investment plans, he said technology was being used to provide a financial platform to the consumers at their fingertips.
