Suzuki Alto 2019 to replace evergreen Mehran
The Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) is all set to bring out the replacement of the evergreen Suzuki Mehran in the near future.
As per local media reports, the Japanese auto giant intends to launch the new Suzuki Alto 2019 with a 660cc engine, as a replacement for the 800cc hatchback. The new Suzuki Alto is predicted to go on sale in the first quarter of 2019.
In July, Suzuki Pakistan announced to discontinue Mehran VX from the end of November this year.
“Dear valued vendor(s), Management of PSMCL has decided to discontinue its Model SB308 only version VX (Mehran) from end November 2018,” the company announced in a notice.
Now, reports suggest that Alto 660cc will replace Mehran, and there will be a total three variants of the car; two manual variants and one fully loaded automatic variant. The high spec manual and fully loaded auto variant will come with a power steering.
The upcoming Alto comes with an expected price tag of around Rs800, 000 to Rs1, 000,000.
In September, the United Auto Industries has launched the all-new 800cc United Bravo in the Pakistani market, the newly introduced vehicle aimed to compete with the evergreen Suzuki Mehran.
