imageRAWALPINDI: Town Municipal Administration (TMA), Rawal Town under its anti-encroachment operation on Friday imposed fines on 43 shopkeepers while goods of 52 shopkeepers were confiscated from various areas of city.

The anti-encroachment operation was launched under the special directives of administrator Rawal Town Imran Qureshi.

Town Officer Regulation (TOR)Malik Tauseef , Enforcement Superintendent, Inspectors along with the staff concerned conducted raids at several roads including Liaquat Road, Iqbal Road, College road, Sadiqabad, Commercial Market and Raja Bazaar.

According to TMA, Rawal Town spokesman, the ongoing anti-encroachment operation has further been intensified aimed at providing relief to the citizens.

The spokesman said that the city markets are regularly being visited and staff concerned conducting raids at main markets and roads of the town.

The vendors who are found selling their products while displaying on footpaths and different city roads are being imposed fines with warnings, he said. He said that strict action would be taken against those violating the orders.
