KARACHI: The Central Executive Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has urged concerned authorities to ensure early release of salaries to the workers of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM).
In a statement issued on Friday, the committee members said non payment of salaries to the PSM workers for past three months is a case of serious inconvenience to the workers and their respective families.
Reminding that PSM holds a crucial position in revival of the national economy, the MQM executive committee also demanded a pragmatic approach coupled with sincere efforts enabling the mills to deliver in accordance to its optimum capacities.
PSM is a strategic asset that must not be allowed to go in vain and its revival must be ensured at all costs, said the executive committee members.
