US President-elect Donald Trump made error when he responded to a complimentary tweet about his daughter.
Trump was quoting praise for his daughter from another Twitter user, who had used the wrong username. He posted, @Ivanka Trump is great, a woman with real character and class, read a tweet Trump shared from Massachusetts chiropractor Lawrence Goodstein, whose account has since gone private amid sudden publicity.
Donald Trump has accidentally mentioned a former Labour Party employee from Brighton called Ivanka in a tweet.
His daughters longtime Twitter handle is @IvankaTrump not @Ivanka, an account used by Ivanka Majic since 2007. Trump failed to correct his daughters username while editing Goodsteins original tweet.
According to media reports, Ivanka Majic, a council worker from Brighton, found herself at the centre of a social media furore after Mr Trump quoted praise for his daughter including the @Ivanka handle, rather than @IvankaTrump.
They told her she featured in a tweet to Donald Trump's 20 million followers.
She fired back at Trump on Tuesday morning, encouraging the President-elect to be more green. And youre a man with great responsibilities, Majic wrote. May I suggest more care on Twitter and more time learning about #climatechange.
Meanwhile, the real Ivanka was busy on date night as her doting father tweeted at the wrong Ivanka.
She posed in front of a string of lights overlooking E. 56th St. and 5th Ave, across the street from Trump Tower, according to a photo she shared Monday night.
