In a closed-door briefing to members states, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said one priority in the probe should be "audits of relevant laboratories and research institutions operating in the area of the initial human cases identified in December 2019".
"It's not hesitancy. It's lack of vaccines. And the situation in many low-income countries, especially Africa, it's very worrisome," Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.
"Based on the lessons learned from the 2014-16 outbreak and through rapid, coordinated response efforts... Guinea managed to control the outbreak and prevent its spread beyond its borders," WHO.
