The federal minister urged the IT minister Syed Amin ul Haque to take note of this ban, adding that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) will be instructed not to encourage such bans
The minister informed that in the first phase, 30 drones will take part in the Ministry of Science and Technology and Locust Control campaign, and their numbers will gradually increase.
An MoU was signed for this purpose, between the Ministry of Science and Technology and ABN SATUMA (Private) Ltd for the development of UAVs/drones for agriculture application. The drones will specifically be used for countering locust attacks, which has caused havoc across the country.
The minister called on the sports goods manufacturers of Sialkot, a city known globally for its sports products to have a joint project with the technical universities of the country to develop this product.
“In the next phase, Health City is being set up on 200 acres of land in Faisalabad and Science and Technology Special Economic Zones will be built in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad," says Fawad.
“Pakistan's drone technology is among the most modern in the world,” said Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain in a tweet post, while sharing video footage of the drone.
Fawad revealed that Pakistan imports medical equipment worth $2.1 billion each year, “we also do a $1bn service agreement with companies for operating this equipment.”
As per details, SafeVent SP 100 is FDA/CE approved economical and reliable ventilator. The National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) has already produced 15 units of SafeVent SP 100 and has a production capacity to manufacture 250 –300 units per month.
